Details on the air quality management areas that have been declared. All the areas (with one exception) are declared on the basis of being likely to breach the annual mean concentration of nitrogen dioxide, which is set as an Air Quality Standard of 40mg/m3 to be met by 31 December 2010. The Air Quality Management Area along the A6 in Disley is also declared on the basis of a likely breach of the hourly mean concentration of nitrogen dioxide which is set at an Air Quality Standard of 200 mg/m3 which must not be exceeded more than 18 times in any one year.
